Shannon Doah was born in London, England. She has lived in Europe, the US, Japan and Mexico, and now resides in San Diego, CA.  As a young girl, she admired the goddesses and dancers from Hollywood's Silver Screen and Golden Years.   Her parents had seen the Crazy Horse Saloon show in 1951, the first year the Paris cabaret opened! Rummaging in the garage, she found the old "Le Crazy Horse Saloon" and "Lido de Paris" brochures! She dreamed of becoming a showgirl. Her fantasy became a reality.
Shannon Doah performed from the 1960's into the late 1980's. Her burlesque adventures began in wild and untamed notorious North Beach, San Francisco.  She performed  at Big Al's, The Condor and El Cid with live bands, singers, comedians and "barkers" at the front door.   Rock stars, movie stars, sports stars and world-class dancers would often sneak in for a peek!
Shannon Doah returned to Santa Monica CA in 1970 and began dancing in Los Angeles area and Hollywood Strip and Go-Go Clubs.  She was “discovered” by the owner of “The Losers”, an elite Beverly Hills strip club where she became a star in the first US production of the original Crazy Horse Paris Saloon show. The club was a favorite hang out of Hollywood's stars and International celebrities. (The Losers was the location of the filming of the movie "Flare-up" starring Raquel Welch).
During the 1970's and into the late 1980's Shannon Doah toured as a “Feature” both nationally and internationally, represented by  various agencies including: Sparky Blaine’s "American Showgirl" Agency and the Jess Mack Agency .
Shannon Doah was known for her Screen Goddess and Paris inspired shows, Varga Girl looks and elaborate costumes . Past and current shows include:  "Boudoir Bath", "Spider Web",  "Revolving Chaise Longue", Classic Strip-Tease, "Can Can", "Naked Maja", "Vegas Cowgirl", "Gaiety Girl", "Sweet Dreams", "Touch of Venus" and Enter the Night -"Entre Le Nuit"
Video , Television,  Movie  and Magazine credits include: the Playboy Channel, "Eroticise" with Kitten Natividad. "Pleasure in Paradise,"  "Miss World Burlesque", Oui Magazine (Playboy). Costume designers include: Bobby Gersten (Chouinard Art Institute),  Dorothy Shula and Hedy Jo Star.  Shannon Doah also designed her own wardrobe and has a degree in Costume Design.

Photo of girls in the first ever US production of the Crazy Horse Paris Saloon Show at "The Losers"  in  Hollywood circa early 1970's. We performed this show every night at the Losers Club and all the "who's who" of movies, TV and stage hung out and came to see this show!!

Unique venues: Tahiti inside an enormous open air Tiki Hut with a huge circular floor stage to a audience seated in a circle on the floor!  Shannon performed with Country Joe and the Fish and other famous local SF area bands at San Quentin Prison, a show organized by the SF Chapter of the Hell's Angels for the inmates.
