Kitten Natividad original
Burlesque Vintage 1960's Under-Bust Corset.
I purchased this corset from Russ Meyer film star and
Legend of Burlesque Kitten Natividad during the early 1970's. A rare
burlesque costume for collectors and/or performers made for and worn
by Kitten...and by Shannon Doah. Groovy psychedelic print under-bust corset. Ribbon lacing. A nude poly crepe underlining. The bodice
has stays and is fully lined in pink poly crepe. Break-away zipper in
back. Designed and
constructed by Bobby
Gersten, a famous striptease costume designer with studios in

Bobby Gersten attended the Chouinard
Art Institute in Los Angeles and earned a degree in Costume design. One of his classmates
was Bob Mackie. During the 1960's and early 1970's Bobby owned a
design studio in Hollywood.

He designed
gorgeous costumes for Kitten and many Exotic Burlesque striptease
dancers who performed nationally and internationally including the
Classic Cat, Body Shop, the Pink Pussycat on the Sunset Strip and the
Losers Club in Beverly Hills. These exotic dancers toured the
globe as Feature Striptease Acts. In the mid 1970's Bobby opened
a large design studio in Boston, Mass where he designed fabulously
beautiful wardrobe made from fine French imported fabrics all hand
beaded, feathered and adorned with Austrian crystals and prong set rhinestones. Bobby Gersten's costumes are very rare. Most of his costumes are
in private collections (like this one!). Kitten has donated some of her
burlesque wardrobe to the Burlesque Hall of Fame Museum
in Las Vegas .
